Avocado Base Oil 100ml Ref: avoca Botanical name - Persea Americana Uses: Avocado is a very penetrating oil, best applied on small areas of the skin at one time. Avocado is vey nourishing for dry and dehydrated skin and eczema, as it improves elasticity. Jojoba Base Oil 100ml Ref: jojob Botanical name - Simmondsia Chinensis Uses: Jojoba mimics the natural skin oils (sebum) and collagen, making it an excellent nourishing oil for skin. As Jojoba penetrates the skin very rapidly it is more suitable for nourishing skin preparations and masks, than for use in body massage. Jojoba is very healing for inflamed skin sufferers, and can help control acne and oily skin or scalp since excess sebum actually dissolves in Jojoba. Jojoba oil is also an anti oxidant, and may help extend the life of other oils when mixed. Use at either 10% dilution or full strength. Wheatgerm Base Oil 100ml Ref: wheat Botanical name - Triticum Vulgare Uses: Wheatgerm is good for dry cracked skin, eczema, psoriasis, prematurely aged skin, scar tissue and stretch-marks. It is also a good skin conditioner due to its rich Vitimin E content. Wheatgerm is often recommended as an addition to other oils (usually Grapeseed or Sweet Almond) as a preservative, to increase stability and shelf life. If a massage oil is made up in quantity with essential oils it can 'go off' relatively quickly. The addition of 10% wheatgerm oil means the blend can be kept longer before the essential oils go rancid in the base.
